On Helene one of the most beautiful places on earth. We miss our three precious daughters and other family and friends as we continue the adventure before us on a remote island, Helene, off the coast of Honduras.

Evan Liewer is the Roatan Site Director for MEI. He attended Biola University where he met his beautiful wife, April, and obtained a degree in Business Management and Bible. In his spare time he has authored a book for leading international mission trips, “Edge of the Map”, which is used by churches and their missions department and a humor book on the kosherness of imaginary animals. Evan is married to his beautiful bride, April, who he met at Biola. April was the Executive Administrator at a prestigious interior design firm in Laguna Beach. They have been married eight years with their beautiful daughter Avagail Beloved and their dogs, Mango and Kara.
Heather serves MEI as our Staff Support Services provider. Her pastoral and Christian Counseling background has blended with her passion for missions to benefit our field staff and those serving with our partner ministries in the Bay Islands. Heather makes regular site visits to our locations for counseling and teaming training, but is stateside-based, living in metro-Phoenix. There she directs The Care Connection, a lay-counseling ministry at her church. If you ask her, Heather will tell you her greatest purpose at this stage in her life is loving on her ten grandchildren and living missionally – to know Christ and to make Him known.
