Reminder to IRA owners age 70½ or over: Qualified charitable distributions are great options for making tax-free gifts to charity, up to a maximum of $105,000. per year. These transfers, known as qualified charitable distributions or QCDs, offer eligible older Americans a great way to easily give to charity before the end of the year. Moreover, for those who are at least 72, QCDs count toward the IRA owner’s required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year.  Once your QCD is received by MEI, we will send you a written acknowledgement (QCD letter) of your contribution, per IRS requirements. For donation of stocks/securities.  A gift of appreciated marketable stocks and securities to MEI may provide you with significant tax advantages.

For Legacy Planning.  A gift through your will or living trust will continue your support of MEI as an important legacy.
