When we experience the cross and the burial of our Lord Jesus, we are forgiven and our old sin is gone.
We are cleansed. Therefore: God puts away the old. That is not all God is about. He is also about our PROVISION to live the life of Christ to its fullest. “I have come that they may have life and have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 It is that PROVISION of God I want to experience with the fullest of meaning.
God through the resurrection provided for my new life. He gave up himself on the cross and He gave himself to me and filled me by His resurrection. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation the old has passed away: behold the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17. We refuse the expression of God’s honor and glory when we refuse his provision. The Holy Spirit wants to shine in and through us.
The world is watching. When they see us at a point of need, they watch to see if we turn to God in those moments. Our next step of walking in God’s provision will demonstrate to the world what we believe about God. If we refuse to allow the world to see us in need, they will never see the God we worship. So when we are in need of the provision of God through His Holy Spirit given to us by the resurrection, we should not be embarrassed, but honored. God is creating need in you for the world to see His glory.
